Not too many years ago in many of our local communities here in Wisconsin there were hundreds of small family farms. Time brings changes, and today many of the beautiful old dairy barns around us are no longer in use. Some barn owners have invested hard work and money into preserving these structures. Other barns have been neglected and have deteriorated to the point that they no longer can be restored. It seems to me that another great way to preserve the beauty and memories of our local history is to create a family heirloom or a conversation piece from some salvaged timbers or reclaimed siding.
I am excited to be a part of the process of reclaiming and preserving. As a finish carpenter, I have been installing custom cabinetry and millwork for the last 12 years. Recently, I have become very interested in reclaimed products and have begun to work with local dismantlers. We now have inventory of a wide selection of barnwood: Hand hewn beams, weathered siding, naily roof board and many other barn board products. We have begun to use these products for barn doors, installing accent walls, and creating mantels and custom built-ins. We also retail from our current inventory. We are happy to work with customers right here in Wisconsin as well as Minnesota and beyond.
If there is any way we may be of help to you with your next project, please contact us. We look forward to hearing from you!
